Information Desk

For the public, the Legislative Information Desk is the first place to go to seek help in participating in the legislative process. The main Information Desk is located in the basement of the Legislative Services Building at 90 State Circle in Annapolis. During each legislative session between January and April, a second Information Desk is open on the ground floor of the State House.

The main Information Desk also serves as the distribution center for legislative documents, reports, and other publications and materials.

Information Desk staff members, under the direction of the Visitors Program Coordinator, also serve as guides for the General Assembly’s educational programs. The staff also prepares information packets for distribution to visitors on advance request

Session Hours

·         Monday:  8:00 a.m. until the adjournment of the regular 8:00 p.m. floor session, or until 10:00 p.m., whichever comes first.

·         Tuesday through Friday:  8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or, if there is a floor session, until adjournment or 10:00 p.m., whichever comes first.

Interim Hours

·         Monday through Friday:  8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
