Policy Analysis Subject Areas
The Office of Policy Analysis in the Department of
Legislative Services assigns each analyst into at least one of seven policy
area workgroups. The workgroups coordinate interim activities such as
preparing policy studies, staffing statutory committees, monitoring commissions
and task forces, compiling statistical data, and responding to requests from
legislators and the public. The workgroups produce many reports and other
documents that may be of interest to the public. These documents may be

Additionally, the Office of Policy Analysis is responsible
for the evaluation of various State boards and commissions in accordance with a
